Our initial offering will be a range of low-carbohydrate baked goods, including a selection of loaves, rolls, pancakes, wraps, pizza bases and Indian breads, alongside cakes, biscuits, batter mixes and varieties of pasta.
To achieve this, we’re using a low-carbohydrate, high-fibre flour substitute (primary ingredients: oat bran and linseed) that will form the backbone of our baked goods. By simply switching a single staple food such as bread rolls or chapatis away from wheat flour, huge changes can be made to the nutritional balance of meals.
We’ll be working with local farmers to source high-quality meat to produce sausages, burgers and other favourite meat products that retain their natural high-fat content whilst excluding the usual hidden carbohydrates.
We’ll be locally-sourcing and supplying unprocessed, full-fat dairy products, including milk, yoghurt, cheese and butter— they’re great sources of essential nutrients including calcium, protein, potassium, and vitamin D.
A mainstay of the low-carb lifestyle—a great natural source of protein, fibre, vitamins and minerals. Many vegetables can also provide very tasty substitutes for high-carb foods, and we’ll seek to provide as much choice as possible.
